Haaland’s mother, Gry Marita Braut, is a former handball player who also represented Norway at the international level. Haaland has two younger brothers, Lars and Filip, who are also soccer players. Lars currently plays for Molde FK in Norway, while Filip plays for Norwegian club FK Bodø/Glimt.

In 2019, Haaland signed with Red Bull Salzburg in Austria and had a breakout season, scoring 28 goals in 22 games in all competitions.

His performances earned him a move to Borussia Dortmund in January 2020, where he has continued to score goals at a remarkable rate.

Haaland has also represented Norway at the international level, making his debut for the national team in September 2019. He has been a key player for Norway and has scored a number of important goals for his country.
