Manchester City’s Issa Kabore is on the verge of leaving the club in a deal worth Β£12m, with Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham leading the chase for the 21-year-old right-back.
Kabore, who has made just six appearances since joining City in 2020, has struggled to break into Pep Guardiola’s first team and has been deemed surplus to requirements.
The Burkina Faso international has been capped 10 times by his country and has also attracted interest from clubs in France and Germany.
Guardiola has opted for more experienced options in the right-back position, with Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo ahead of Kabore in the pecking order.
The sale of Kabore is part of City’s ongoing transfer strategy, aimed at trimming the squad and making way for new signings.
A City source said: “Issa is a talented young player, but he needs to play regular football to develop. We wish him all the best in his future career.”
Kabore’s exit is expected to be finalized in the coming days, with the player set to undergo a medical with his new club.
