In the quarter-final match of the 1986 World Cup, Argentina and England faced each other. Diego Maradona scored what is known as the “Hand of God” goal, where he punched the ball into the net with his hand.

Marco van Basten’s Volley (1988)

In the final of the 1988 European Championship, the Netherlands faced the Soviet Union. In the 54th minute, Marco van Basten scored one of the greatest goals in football history.

He connected with a cross from Arnold Mühren with a stunning volley that went over the Soviet goalkeeper and into the top corner of the net.

 

Zinedine Zidane’s Champions League Final Goal (2002)

In the 2002 Champions League final between Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen, Zinedine Zidane scored a breathtaking goal.

In the 45th minute, a cross from Roberto Carlos was met with a left-footed volley from Zidane, which sailed into the top corner of the net. This goal helped Real Madrid secure their ninth Champions League title.
