The girlfriends wives and families of players piled onto the pitch to celebrate Man city UCL Win
For decades, Manchester City fans could only dream of successfully competing with great rivals Manchester United.
But last night, the team’s talented superstars won a famous 1-0 victory over Inter Milan to be crowned European champions for the first time in the club’s 143-year history.
This means they have won the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League treble – only the second English team to do so after United in 1999.
Coach Pep Guardiola, who tears the whole match, sealed the victory with a passionate kiss with his wife Cristina as the players, coaches and backstage staff celebrated on the pitch with their families.
“It’s written in the stars, it’s ours and we made it,” he said, acknowledging that the match came much closer than he expected.
Man City’s Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, 22, celebrates with his girlfriend Isabel Johansen, 19. Wearing a Norwegian flag, he said: “It’s also great to have that with my mom and dad here.
” It was an intense game, on a very hot night and Man City had to use their luck many times. Goalkeeper Ederson made many amazing saves.
But midfielder Rodri’s delicate finish in the 68th minute made the difference.’I’m emotional. It’s a dream come true,” said the 26-year-old striker.
The final whistle sounded after 5 minutes of tense injury time – sparking the passionate celebration of 20,000 Man City fans in the stands and making the blue half of Manchester sink into delirium.
